Everyone is a storyteller. For as long as communication has existed people have used stories to share what they've observed, experienced, and come to believe. Stories are used to seek connection, to form understanding, and to make sense of oneself in the world. In the digital age stories are just as important, and even more accessible, as they take new forms and mediums.
In this assignment we are tasked with creating a digital story that illustrates the potential of this form for teaching and student learning. Through a story map, script, story table, and video I will attempt to briefly capture the arc of Thomas Paine's life and writing. Paine provides a fascinating case study, both as a figure of the enlightenment as well as various independence movements in the late 18th century.
